If you are not in hurry, let choose some following saving ways to transfer from the airport to the center.
Currently, taxi price for a trip from Noi Bai to Hanoi’s center is about US $15-25 depending on the distance. Another way is joining with some others which will costs you around US $7 to 12. However, if you travel alone and are not hurried or want to save money, you can choose some of ways below:
There are currently 4 buses from the center to Noi Bai including three cheap ones and one high quality.
- No 7: Depart from Cau Giay station, running through Nguyen Van Huyen, Hoang Quoc Vieta, Pham Van Dong, Thang Long bridge, Vo Van Kiet and T1 terminal stop at Noi Bai and vice versa. The bus departs from Cau Giay at 05 AM and the last one from Noi Bai is at 10.30 PM.
The total time for the trip is about 60 minutes. The problem of this bus is that there are many stops and it is very crowded so sometimes, you will have to stand for the whole trip. Ticket fee: VND 8,000 (US $0.3).
- No 17: Depart from Long Bien station (on Tran Nhat Duat), going through Chuong Duong bridge, Nguyen Van Cu, Ngo Gia Tu, Duong bridge, Dong Anh town, connecting road no 2, Vo Van Kiet, Vo Nguyen GIap, T1 terminal stop at Noi Bai and vice versa. This bus runs from Long Bien station at 5AM and the latest bus in Noi Bai is 10AM.
The total time for the trip from the starting point to ending point is about 1h45. The good thing of this bus is uncrowded and travelers often have empty seats. Ticket fee: VND 9,000 (US $0.4)
- No 90: Depart at Kim Ma, through Nui Truc, Lieu GIai, Thuy Khue, Lac Long Quan, Nha Tan bridge, Vo Nguyen Giap, T1 domestic terminal stop at Noi Bai (Departure hall, 2nd floor), T2 international terminal. The bus leaves at 5.30AM to 09.10PM and at Noi Bai international airport from 6.40 AM to 10.30 PM.
The total time for the trip is about 60 minutes and the bus is not crowded. Ticket fee: VND 9,000 (US $0.4).
- No 86: Depart from Hanoi railway station, through Nguyen Du, Tran Hung Dao, Da Tuong, Ly Thuong Kiet, Hang Bai, Hoan Kiem Lake, Hang Tre, Long Bien transit point, Yen Phu, Nghi Tam, Au Co, Nhat Tan bridge, Vo Nguyen Giap, T1 domestic terminal (departure hall, 2nd floor), T2 international terminal (departure hall 2nd floor), entrance of parking lot of T1 terminal. The bus runs from Hanoi (from 5.05AM to 9.40PM), to Noi Bai (from 6.18Am to 10.58PM).
The total time for the trip is 60 minutes. This is a high quality bus with large spaces for luggage, dual languages of English and Vietnamese sound system, free wifi and it is not crowded. Ticket fee: VND 30,000 (US $1.5)
Shuttle bus of airlines
The airlines including Vietnam airlines, Vietjet air or Jetstar also provide shuttle bus service from the airport to Hanoi’s center with 16 or 45 seat cars. Even though, you do not take their flights, you can still buy their bus tickets. The buses often park right in front of exit gates so we can find them easily. You should check the price before getting on. In general, these buses have fixed routes, but they are also flexible depending on customers’ requirement.
The ticket fee for these buses are about VND 40,000 (US $2) per person. These buses will park at No 1 Quang Trung, 204 Tran Quang Khai and 69 Tran Nhan Tong.
